Wordrus is a falling-letter word game. Letters drop from the top of a 12 × 7 grid — position them to form words.
Grid: 84 cells (12 rows × 7 columns). Letters stack from the bottom up.
Word Detection: When 3+ adjacent letters (horizontal or vertical) form a valid word, it clears and scores.
Controls: ← → to move. ↓ to instant-drop. On mobile, tap the buttons.
Game Over: When any column reaches the top.
Base score: Sum of tile values (A=1, B=3, ... Z=10).
Length bonus: 3-letter = ×1. 4 = ×1.5. 5 = ×2. 6 = ×3. 7 = ×5 (BINGO!).
Level up: Every 100 drops. Speed +0.1s per level.
Speed: Level 1 = 1.0s → Level 9 = 0.2s. Caps at 0.1s.
⭐ Wildcard — ~1 in 15. Matches any letter.
💥 Little Boy — ~1 in 15. Clears 2×2 area on landing.
💣 Fat Man — ~1 in 30. Clears 3×3 area on landing.
🥇 Gold ×3 — ~1 in 10. Word scores ×3.
🏆 Gold ×5 — ~1 in 20. Word scores ×5.
Build horizontally: 7 columns = up to 7-letter bingo (×5).
Keep columns even: Prevents early game over.
Save wildcards: Use for 5-6 letter words, not 3s.
Bombs are lifelines: 💣 gives 9 free cells when stuck.
